Michael Ray Robinson, 64, of Lexington passed away 8/11/2024 after an accident. He is survived by his children Brandon (Amy) Robinson of Versailles and Catelyn (Brice) Krieger of Shelbyville as well as 3 grand children: Conley Robinson, Dudley Robinson, and Lillian Gray Krieger in addition to his siblings Patricia (Tim) Sutherland, Sandra (Charlie) Hammonds & Jeffrey Robinson, all of Lexington. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold Dudley and Edna Wells Robinson. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends as well as his former wife Tracey Robinson who provided him loving and tireless care throughout both his previous illness and his recent accident.

Mike was born and raised in Lexington, graduating Lafayette High School in 1977. Mike was a longtime employee of the University of Kentucky and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending his free time at the family farm in Willisburg. His most enjoyable memories consisted of time spent hunting, fishing, and working the land. "The farm" was his favorite place on Earth and he passed that love on to his children. Mike was a lifelong fan of the Wildcats and a dedicated family man. Mike never met a stranger and always had a joke or story to light up any room. He gave boundlessly of his time and abilities to anyone in need. He was a friend to many and will be sorely missed. We are comforted by the knowledge that he has gone to his eternal rest in the presence of Christ and that we will see him again one day. We extend a special thanks to everyone who cared for him, both during his illness in 2023 and after his recent accident.
