Edward P. Jelf, Jr. age 72, passed away on August 28, 2024 from cancer. He is a graduate of Lafayette High School. He retired from University of Kentucky Healthcare Information Technology as a Programmer Systems Senior.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis (Turner) Jelf; his two daughters, Jennifer A. Jelf and Jame L. Stephens, Lexington. He is also survived by his mother Mary J. (Delaney) Jelf, a sister Vickie A. (Emory) Weaver; four grandchildren, Jordan C. Maddox (Hyun), Hailey L. Stephens, Abigail B. Stephens and Andrew E. Stephens; a niece Becky L. (Jeff) Hamiliton and a nephew Phillip B. (Bo) Hisel as well as an uncle, three aunts and several cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry W. Jelf, his father, Edward P. Jelf Sr. as well as grandparents and uncles. 

He leaves behind two special friends James Wellman and an uncle by marriage, Raymond A. Presley. 

A graveside service will be held at the Lexington Cemetery on September 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. by Steve Wainright.
