Beverly Isaacs, 82, of Lexington, widow of James Goodwin Isaacs, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Homestead Post Acute Nursing Home. Born December 3, 1941 to the late Edgar and Martha Hisle Penrod. She was a Lafayette high school graduate, an administrative assistant for the University of Kentucky, a member of the Broadway Christian Church and Current Calvary Baptist Church member where she also played the church organ. She had chaperoned many state and national pageants and was a gifted seamstress.
She is survived by two sons, Jeffery Isaacs of Lexington, Mark (Marceline) Isaacs of Shelbyville; a sister, Jody (Phil) Maggard of Lexington; grandchildren are Meagan and Dylon Isaacs, Faith and Evan Cobb; a former daughter-in-law, Debbie Isaacs; nieces, Suzanne Booth, Pam Nester, Paula Kapeck; nephews, Steven Cole Redmon, Joe Neil Maggard and Greg Maggard; a sister-in-law, Cathy Isaacs. She is preceded in death by her husband and also a sister, Mary Redmon and her husband, David Redmon.
Services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Kerr Brothers-Harrodsburg Road. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
