Kathye Gay Hollopeter

Lexington, Kentucky - Kathye Gay Hollopeter, 70, passed away on Sun., April 28, 2024, in Lexington, KY. She was born in Carbondale, IL to Robert Hollopeter and the late Helen Scott Hollopeter. She was known as Sissy by those who loved her and Sissy Ho at the family owned Tolly-Ho restaurant. She graduated from Lafayette High School in 1972. She enjoyed nature, gardening, animals, antiquing and artistic crafts. She had a kind and gentle soul and was dearly loved by all that knew her. She is survived her father Robert (Bob) Hollopeter, Lexington, KY; her sister, Kay (Bruce) Fisher, Lexington, KY; her brother, Scott Hollopeter, Lexington, KY; one niece, Holly Hollopeter, world traveler; two nephews, Benton (Valeria) Hollopeter, Fort Drum Army Base, Watertown, NY and Logan Hollopeter, Fort Sam Houston Joint Base, San Antonio, TX; and "brown dog" (Weston). Kathye's Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held May 8, 2024 5 - 8pm at Clark Legacy Center (Brannon Crossing). clarklegacycenter.com
