Anna Lee Foley (Ginter) - Class Of 1959

Anna Lee Foley Ginter, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother ended her earthly journey on May 3, 2024, in Nicholasville, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Maurice and Anna Mae Foley and sister of Jerry Foley (Geraldine) who all preceded her in death. She is survived by sister Lena Schmucker (Don). Born on November 9, 1941, Anna Lee's life was a testament to love, faith, the importance of family, and the beauty of sharing one's talents with the world.
Anna Lee's faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she lived it fully through her active involvement in church and charitable endeavors. Her empathy and compassion knew no bounds and she found joy in extending kindness to others whenever she could. She was a devout Christian woman and follower of Jesus Christ.
Anna Lee's devotion to her family was unwavering and profound. Her nurturing spirit and fierce love created a home filled with warmth and laughter. She was the heart of her family, a beacon of strength and love that guided them through life's joys and challenges. She had a knack for turning ordinary moments into extraordinary memories during family vacations to the beach.
Anna Lee's vocal presence in the church choir loft was nothing short of angelic. From her days in the Lafayette High School marching band to singing solos at church, her love for music was infectious, touching the hearts of all who had the privilege of hearing her sing.
She worked for many years in word processing and also had several managerial positions. Her favorite job was at Walt Disney World in FL which contributed to her enduring love of all things Disney. Her last job was as the secretary for Jessamine Christian Church.
In addition to her many talents, Anna Lee was also a fabulous cook, appreciated beauty in flowers and all of nature, and was an avid birdwatcher. Her creativity and artistic flair added beauty to every aspect of her life.
Anna Lee is survived by her devoted spouse Garnie Ginter, her loving children Maurine Hume (Kevin), Meredith Mitchem (Jay), Melissa Keith (Tony), Woody Stappe (Amanda), Mike Ginter (Sue), Lynn Sheets (Chris), Tracey Ginter and Trey Ginter (Teresa). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
Anna Lee's legacy of faith, love, kindness, and music will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will forever be cherished, and her spirit will continue to inspire those who were touched by her remarkable life.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 9th, 2024 at 10:30am at Kerr brothers Funeral Home on Harrodsburg Road. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 8th, from 5-8pm at Kerr Brothers-Harrodsburg Road.
