Michael Joseph Lagrew

Lexington, Kentucky - Michael Joseph Lagrew, 78, of Lexington, KY died on June 25th, 2024.

Mike was born January 10, 1946 in Gloucester County, England and later attended Lafayette High School and the University of Kentucky. He went on to serve in the Vietnam War, rose to Captain and was awarded the Bronze Star & Purple Heart.

He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Jane Lagrew and David Crutcher Lagrew, Sr.

He is survived by his wife Courtney Helm Lagrew, two daughters Jessica Lagrew Thompson (Mac) of Louisville, KY and Whitney Lagrew Walters (Andrew) of Hilton Head Island, SC who have Mike's beloved grandson Graham Bradley Walters. He is also survived by his sister Dr. Mary Jane Lagrew of Lexington and a brother Dr. David C. Lagrew, Jr. (Karen) of Laguna Beach, CA.

A private family graveside service will be held, arrangements handled by Kerr Brothers-Main Street. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations be made in Mike's name to Fisher House (www.fisherhouse.org.)
