Lexington , Kentucky - Patricia Polly Stokley was born March 10, 1939 in Lexington, Ky to Edward Ralph Polly and Elizabeth Hadley Polly. Pat was married to James (Jim) Louis Stokley for over 65 years. During that time, Pat and Jim not only were a truly devoted couple but they worked together building the family business, Stokley's Marine started in 1972.
Pat, a graduate of Lafayette High School in the class of 1957, was a life-long member of Rosemont Baptist Church.
In addition to being a loving wife, Pat was mother to Dr. Karen (Brian) Stokley Hill, Dr. Kim (Dr. Tim Winchester) Stokley Winchester and Ralph (Cecile) Stokley. Pat and Jim have six grandchildren, Christopher (Lain) Hill, Melissa (Daniel) Hill Doss, Dr. Rachael (Calvin) Winchester Hayes, Megan Winchester, Graham Winchester, Connor Stokley, Jack Stokley and Callahan (Nick) Stokley Howard. Pat and Jim have six great-grandchildren. Pat is also survived by her loving sister, Janet Polly (Leonard) Miller, a sister-in-law, Alma Dunn, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pat loved her times traveling to fish and golf with Jim including time spent at their second home in Nokomis, FL. During their marriage, Pat and Jim had many interests including travel to their favorite destination for their annual family Christmas trip to Maui, Hawaii. During these trips, Pat and Jim taught their family to value their time together with each other as the best gift of the season.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Cedarhurst in Beaumont, Baptist Health Lexington and Bluegrass Care Navigators. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Baptist Health Lexington Foundation.
Services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Milward Funeral Directors Southland location, 391 Southland Dr., Lexington, KY 40503. Visitation will from 1:00PM-2:00PM, with a funeral service at 2:00PM. Interment will be at the Lexington Cemetery.
