Kathryn Marie Emmert (Kitty) passed away Wednesday, December 7th, 2022. Born in Ashland, Kentucky on December 19th, 1974, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Emery M. Emmert, Jr., and Elizabeth Gay Disponette Emmert.

She was a graduate of Lafayette High School and the Lexington Academy of Healing Arts, where she earned her certification as a massage therapist.

Kitty will be remembered as a cherished child, as a person died too young and who never met a stranger (human or animal). At her best, she had a zest for life, a quick wit and fun-loving, compassionate nature. She was a creative, talented person who carried on our family tradition of drawing and painting. She was a unique soul who tried her best, often against the circumstances of her life, to love those in her life.

She is survived by her children, Nathaniel Christian Emmert and Joseph Michael Emmert, her siblings Ann Elizabeth (Jeremy Filson) Emmert-Abbott, Amy Myers Emmert (Scott) Pugh, Emery (Denise) Myers Emmert, III, and nieces and nephews, Ian Pugh and Evan Pugh, Nicholas Abbott, Aidan Filson, Ella Grace Emmert, and Ava Belle Emmert. She was preceded in death her parents. After a private service, she will be laid to rest at Lexington Cemetery near her parents grave.
