Charles Brent Haynes, 58, of the Union City community, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at his home.

Born, July 18, 1960, in Lexington, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Charles Robert and Alpha Marie Teater Haynes. Brent was an employee of Sherwin-Williams Coating Plant in Richmond and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a devoted coach to many children in our community and he is leaving behind his beloved Saint Bernard (Ty) and Great Pyrenees (Bella). They never left his side throughout his extended journey with cancer.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Ann Mulholland Haynes; two sons, Charles Dustin Haynes of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Clark Robert Haynes of Richmond; one sister, Cheryl Perkins (Bobby) of Georgetown; one brother Cary Haynes (Marge) of Lexington; and his best friend, Mark Denniston (Debi).

Funeral service for Brent will be held at 5:00 PM Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Nettleton officiating. Friends will be received from 2:00 PM until service time at Oldham Roberts & Powell. Private burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Nehila, Jeff Neal, Doug Ellis, Greg Edwards, Jason Tackett, Larry Ritchie, Tim Reece and Joe Horvat.
