Charles “Chuck” Gibson Eades, Jr., 77, of Lawrenceburg, KY, passed away Feb. 28, 2024, at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Born January 24, 1947, in Lexington, KY, Chuck was the son of the late Charles Gibson Eades Sr. and Ella Mason Scott Eades. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1965, and attended the University of Kentucky. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1968 – 1970, both in Brooklyn and Indian Head, Maryland. Chuck worked for the U.S. Postal Service after returning from this Navy service. He was a licensed pilot flying mail out of Evansville, IN and later he worked in the bulk mailings department, and as a bank courier. Chuck was proud to be the owner and operator of Starr Bright Window Cleaning Services, which he operated for many years. He more recently was an auto transporter for Chrysler of Lawrenceburg, KY. Chuck loved music and played lead, rhythm, and bass guitar in several bands during his high school and college years. In his late teens he taught guitar lessons at Don Wilson’s Music. He later went on to be a choir and music director in his church. Chuck is survived by his son, Tracey Jon Eades (Pam) of Nicholasville, KY; stepson, Paul Walker of Winchester, KY; brother, James M. Eades (Wanda) of Lexington, KY; sister, Patricia Eades Murphy (Richard) of Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Denver Eades of Tampa, FL, Brayden Eades of Nicholasville, KY, Bradley Doolin (Kristen) of Lancaster, KY; great grandchildren, Kaysen, Skylar, Kamryn, Hayden, and Colt; and a host of cousins, nephews, friends and colleagues. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 4, 2024, in Camp Nelson Nation Cemetery, 6980 Danville Rd., Nicholasville, KY, 40356. Visitation will be 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Rd., Lexington, KY 40513.
