Alma Louise (Stokley) Dunn, 94, of Lexington, KY, passed away peacefully at home on December 19, 2023. Alma was born on September 2, 1929, in Lexington, to Alma Jordan Stokley and Louis Hart Stokley. Alma was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Thomas J. Dunn.

A lifelong resident of Lexington, she leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Alma is survived by her brother, James L. Stokley, and her two sons, Samuel S. Dunn (Signe) and Benjamin C. Dunn (Sherri), all of Lexington. She was a loving grandmother “Meme” to Craig T. Dunn (Kathleen) of Altamonte Springs, FL, Dr. Emily Dunn Bentley (Jon), and David B. Dunn (Ali), both of Lexington. Alma adored her precious great-grandchildren, Thomas Wilson Dunn and Elizabeth Hadley Dunn of Altamonte Springs, FL, Hallee Rose Dunn and Ellen Marie Bentley, both of Lexington, KY. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Alma graduated from Lafayette High School and attended the University of Kentucky. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jo Ann Stokley Elam, brother-in-law, James D. Elam, and sister-in-law, Patricia P. Stokley.

There will be no visitation. A private gravesite ceremony for family and close friends will be held at Lexington Cemetery on December 28th at 11:00am. A Celebration of her Life will follow for family and friends at the Palomar Hills Clubhouse at 12:30pm.
