Gregory Ethan Gortman, 50, of Lexington, passed away Monday, April 17, 2023 at University of Kentucky Hospital as a result of Kidney Cancer. Born August 4, 1972 to Barbara Gortman of Lexington and the late Kalman Gortman. He was the owner of Lexington Chimney Sweep and a 1990 graduate of Lafayette High School. Greg was an adventurer and explorer, there were many places over the years that he visited where most of us would have never thought of going. Greg would often times convince friends and family to join him in his adventures and they were always amazed at the new experiences and interesting things that he would introduce them to. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Gortman of Lexington; a brother, Kelly (Tonya) Gortman of Lexington; one nephew, Kevin Gortman; one niece, Hailey Gortman; uncles Joe and Casey and aunt Mary Jane; numerous cousins. No services are planned at this time. Kerr Brothers – Harrodsburg Road is in charge of the arrangements. Contributions can be made to the Markey Cancer Center.
