Donald P. Campbell, 68, husband of Francisca Bañuelos Campbell passed away on February 28, 2020.  A native Lexingtonian, he was born to the late Marion L. and Mable C. Rutledge Campbell on March 12, 1951.  Mr. Campbell attended Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

 

He was a Lafayette High School graduate and continued his studies at the University of Kentucky.  He was retired from the Lexington-Fayette County Fire Department after 27 years of service as a firefighter.  His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and gardening.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending valuable time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.

 

Mr. Campbell is survived by 7 children; 3 siblings, Joyce (Tom) Hinton, Jerry Campbell, and Linda Yates; 10 grandchildren; 5 nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.  

 

Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Milward-Man O’ War: Visitation from 5pm until 8pm, Prayer Service at 8pm.  Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Church: Funeral Mass at 10:30am.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
