Mary Ann (Bach) Burdette

Lexington , Kentucky - Mary Ann (Bach) Burdette passed from this earth and entered into the arms of Jesus on July 13, 2022, after a long illness.
She was born on July 27. 1926 to the late Dr. Arthur Bach and Rose (Carpenter) Bach in Jackson KY. She is survived by her children, Samuel A Burdette, Barbara Ann (Burdette) Johnson (David deceased) and Richard A Burdette (Kari). She had 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren with a great- great-grandchild due in December.
She was very active in volunteer work for many organizations including: Meals on Wheels, Assurance Pregnancy Help Center, Christian Women's Club, Stonecroft Ministries. She was voted "Woman of the Year" in Lexington in 1972. She served on the Fayette County School Board and was an Alumni of Lafayette High School and the University of Kentucky. She was a long-time member of Southland Christian Church and was a charter member of Hill n Dale Christian Church. She supported missions and other Christian churches throughout the US. In lieu of flowers, we would encourage gifts to Assurance Pregnancy Center or Meals on Wheels.
Visitation will be Friday, July 29th 2022 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, July 30th 2022 at 11:00am, with a burial to follow at the Lexington Cemetery.
