Special people like John touch our lives in everything they do and leave us changed long after they have gone. John W. Bronaugh, 87, passed away peacefully on Nov. 20, 2021, at his home.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Perry Bronaugh, his brother, Perry Preston, and his first wife, Barbara, who was the mother of his children, Karen, Scott (Sheila), Neil (Kelly).

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 20 years, Becky Burlew Bronaugh, his children and stepson, Hunter Burlew (Kristen), his grandchildren, Tyler and John Bronaugh, Landon Burlew, and Jack Evans.

He was a graduate of Lafayette High School and the University of Kentucky where he received his Bachelor’s degree and later his MBA.  He served as a pilot in the USAF and was owner of Bronaugh Motor Express for 22 years.  After retiring from the trucking business, he decided to go into Real Estate, starting Bronco Real Estate Co. and then into Commercial Real Estate.  He was the managing Director of the Lexington office of Sperry Van Ness along with his partner Steve Pulliam for 21 years.

He was recognized by numerous Real Estate Organizations, was an avid golfer and UK fan.  John was a member of Southland Christian Church, and we wish to honor his request for memorial contributions to be made to Helping Thru Him or Hospice.   Visitation will be Wednesday, 11 am to 1 pm with service at 1 pm, Milward-Southland.  Interment will follow the service at the Lexington Cemetery.  www.milwardfuneral.com
