Lexington, Kentucky - TAKACS, Lisa Renee' Farris, Lt Commander USNR (retired), age 53, of Pipe Creek, Texas passed away on Feb 9, 2021 unexpectedly at her home. Born in Lexington, KY on Nov 2, 1967, she was the daughter of Lynda Mason and Phillip & Jacqueline Farris. Renee' was a 1985 graduate of Lafayette High School. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Keith Takacs, sisters Tami Farris & Christy (Wes) Payne, nieces Aubrey & Savannah Payne, and her 5 German Shepherds. Renee' held an Associate Degree in Dental Tech from University of Kentucky, a B.A. in Social Science with a Criminal Justice minor from Chapman University, and a Masters in Advanced International Affairs from Texas A&M. It was Renee's "honor & privilege" to join the US Navy in 1990 and she continued to serve and protect our country until her last breath was taken. Her military career spanned 23 yrs & 10 months retiring on 1-1-2021. She currently worked as a civilian contractor on Lackland Air Force Base. The focus of her career was as an Intelligence Analyst/Officer for which she received many meritorious awards and commendation medals. She was also member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Visitation will be 12:30-2:30 pm Tues., Mar. 2 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY. Funeral services at 2:30 pm Tues. with Military Honor Guard.
