Bobby Gene Cornelison

Lexington, Kentucky - Cornelison, Bobby G., 83, husband of 63 years to Barbara Baker Cornelison, died Feb. 20, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Hospital. Born Oct. 5, 1937 in Lexington, KY, he was the son of the late Jesse and Sarah Mildred Morris Cornelison. Mr. Cornelison was a 1955 Lafayette High School and a 1964 University of Kentucky graduate with a B.S. in Commerce. He retired from management at IBM and was a longtime member and Deacon Emeritus of Highlands Baptist Church. Survivors other than his wife include four children, Jacqueline (Raymond, deceased) McGuire, Bobby G. Cornelison, Chrislyn L. (Danny) Goodpaster, and Michael D. Cornelison, all of Lexington, KY; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren plus one on the way; sister in law, Patty Kropp; 2 brothers-in-law, and a cousin, Fran Gibson, Trenton, OH. In addition to his parents and son-in-law, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Elwood Cornelison; two cousins, Herchel Cornelison and Donald Morris; and five brothers-in-law. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Fri., Feb. 26 with funeral services at 10 am Sat., Feb. 27 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. Burial to follow in Richmond Cemetery in Richmond, KY.
