TERESA HOPKINS WILHITE, 59, died January 22, 2021. She was a loving wife to her best friend of forty-four years, Jimmy, and a devoted mother to her three sons, Gibson, Sam and Ben. She is survived by her parents, Eavy and Fannie Hopkins, her husband, James Gibson Wilhite Jr., her three children, Gibson (Katie) Wilhite, Samuel (LaKole) Wilhite, and Benjamin Wilhite; two granddaughters, Reilly and Caroline Wilhite; her sister, Melissa (Greg Dunbar); and her nieces and nephew, Ella, Ann, and Taylor Dunbar.

She graduated from Lafayette High School and the University of Kentucky. Teresa was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and served on the House Committee. She was a longtime member of the Lexington Country Club, and a board member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass. Teresa enjoyed traveling with her family, horse racing, and knew how to plan a good party. She was a gracious hostess and over the years, she and Jimmy hosted many memorable celebrations for family and friends.

Private funeral services will be Thursday, January 28. Burial at Lexington Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass, 1300 Sports Center Drive, Lexington, KY 40502.
