Ruth Ann White Hall, 70, wife of Ernest R. Hall, Sr., passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center. She was born in Frankfort, KY on June 6, 1947, the daughter of Anna Rice White of Versailles and the late Rev. Donald B. White. She was a graduate of Lafayette High School (1965) and attended Georgetown College.

Above all things, Ruth Ann loved her family, and her world revolved around her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved quilting; she was a talented seamstress and an amazing cook and won several chili cook-offs. Ruth Ann was an active member of Versailles Baptist Church for 28 years, she was an accomplished pianist/organist, who played 23 years for Hillcrest Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School for 50 years and was a homeschool teacher. For 15 years, she was part owner and office manager for Hall & Associates, Environmental Consultants. Ruth Ann and husband, Ernie, enjoyed RVing with the family and traveling throughout the U.S., touring 49 states.

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Donald B. White. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ernest Robert Hall, Sr. of Versailles, mother, Anna White of Versailles, son, Robert Hall of Lexington, daughters, Christy Swanson of Wisconsin and Catherine Hall of Texas. Ruth Ann is further survived by her siblings, Rebecca White (Fred), Sharon White, and Don Brad (Cathy) White, all of Lexington and four grandchildren, Hannah Hall, Caloway Hall, (and their mother, Carolyn), all of Versailles, and Damir Swanson and Lily Swanson, (and their Father, Doug) all of Wisconsin.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm- 8:00pm, Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Versailles Baptist Church, visitation will be 11:00am- 12:00pm. Funeral service to begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial at Rose Crest Cemetery.
