Stull, Bettye Deen, 79, died Tues., July 27, 2010. A Lexington native, she was the daughter of Utha “Sally” Blackburn Deen and the late Encil Deen. Ms. Stull received her B.A. in Education, her M.A. in Drama, Speech, and English, and her M.S. in Family Studies from the University of Kentucky. She served fourteen years in South America with the Foreign Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, and the past several years as loving caretaker for her mother. She was an active member of Anchor Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (David) Belknap, Newport, NC; two sons, John Ross (Mary) Stull, Newport, NC and Joe Paul (Michell) Stull, Georgetown, KY; six grandchildren, Anne-Kathryn Stull, Danielle Belknap, Jared Belknap, Jessica Johnson, Aaron Stull, and Grace Stull; one great grandchild, Zaylen Long; two brothers, Thomas B. (Bettie) Deen and J. Richard (Mary Alice) Deen; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, David Thomas Stull. Funeral services will be 11 am Fri. at Anchor Baptist Church by Rev. Paul Sisk with burial following in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 pm Thurs. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd.
