Faye Hogge (Lutz) - Class Of 1943

 

Faye H. Lutz, 93, widow of Cletus C. Lutz, died peacefully on July 28, 2018. Born on July 21, 1925 in Chattanooga, TN, to the late Walter A. and Evelyn Hogge, Faye spent her life in Lexington. She was a 1943 raduate of Lafayette High School and went on to earn an Associate Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Kentucky. She was a member of the Lexington Art League and, for over 50 years, was a member of Maxwell Street Presbyterian Chuch where she was inducted into the Presbyterian Women Organization. She had lifelong interests in gardening, music, traveling, and being a KY Wildcat fan. Survivors include 3 daughters, Rebecca Lutz of Lexington, KY; Janet Miller (Ben) of Harrodsburg, KY; and Beverly Siegal (Alan) of Lexington, KY; 5 grandsons, Thomas Kessinger (Amy), Shawn Gorrell (Kara), Todd Gorrell (Jeanie), Nathan Reynolds (Molly), and Brian Reynolds (Elsa); 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 nephews; Allen, Mark and Kevin Hogge. She was preceded in death by her brother, Walter A. Hogge, Jr. The family wishes to thank the staff at Morning Pointe Senior Living Residence (233 Ruccio Way) for providing a loving and supportive home for Faye’s final 2 years, Always Best Care, and Bluegrass Care Navigators. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Ashland Terrace, 475 South Ashland Ave., Lexington, KY, where Faye resided for 8 years. Graveside services will be held on Friday, Aug. 3 at 11:00 am at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
