SPREITZER Janice Adkinson Keesling,  passed away Oct. 23, 2017. She was born Dec. 16, 1926 to Ansel and Lois Adkinson in Danville, KY. Janice was a long time member of Broadway Christian Church and was baptized by Bro. William Sweeney in 1939. She graduated from Lafayette High School in 1945 and retired from IBM in 1987 after 25 years of service. Janice is survived by her husband of 45 years, Donald Spreitzer, of Lexington, KY and a brother, Robert Adkinson of Harrodsburg, KY. She was predeceased by another brother, Donald Adkinson and his wife Bertha formerly of Ft. Valley, GA. Janice is also survived by her four children: Cheryl Keesling Merrell of Nicholasville, KY, Patricia Keesling Stammler (Jeff) of Sylvania, OH, David Keesling (Jamie) of Georgetown, KY, and Robert Bryan Keesling (Molly) of Bryantsville, KY; five step-children: David Spreitzer (Mary), Catherine Spreitzer Hunt, Teresa Spreitzer, Laura Spreitzer Nelson, all of Lexington, KY, and Stephen Spreitzer of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren; one niece and several nephews. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thurs., Oct. 26, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are David Keesling, Robert Bryan Keesling, David Spreitzer, Stephen Spreitzer, Jeff Stammler, and Dustin Keesling. Honorary pallbearers are Philip Stammler, Curt Keesling, Chris Keesling, Kelly Merrell, Romay Wells, and David Russell. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Wed. at the funeral home.
