Saundra Gardiner, 69 widow of Daniel Stephen Gardiner, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 at her home. Born in Paintsville, Kentucky, January 7, 1948, she was the daughter of the late William Russell and Doris Marie Thacker Rice. Saundra was a member of Northside Christian Church, and was former owner of Boone Gardiner Landscape. She enjoyed gardening, and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her brother, Russell James Rice(Irene) of Ormond Beach, Florida, sisters, Judy Covington of Georgetown, Kentucky, and Kimberly Rice Stevens of Lexington, Kentucky, and brother-in-law, Mike Covington of Georgetown, Kentucky and sister-in-law, Karen Rice of Salisbury, MD. Saundra is also survived by nieces and nephews, Lori (Steve) Pittman, Cindy Covington, Tracy (Doug) Hudson, Kristen Rice, Lindsay Rice, and Kaitlyn Stevens, great nieces and nephews, Tori Covington, Emma Kate Bergman, Landon Bergman, Harper Hudson, Camden Welch, and Finn De Bellis.

A memorial graveside service will be held Monday, December 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Georgetown Cemetery with Dr. Rob Muncy officiating.
