WEST Nancy Williams, 86, Lexington, passed away June 10, 2016. She was born to the late Pearce and Miranda Williams West on January 31, 1930 in Ewing, KY. She was a member of Central Christian Church. A graduate of Lafayette High School, she earned a Master's in Educational Administration from UK. She had retired as principal of Stonewall Elementary, after 25 years of service. Memberships included: Lafayette High School Hall of Fame: KY Assoc. of Elementary School Principals; board member, National Assoc. of Elementary School Principals; National Distinguished Elementary Principal from KY (1985); deacon, Central Christian Church; and volunteer, Meals on Wheels and God's Pantry. Nancy is survived by a sister Maud Johnson of Lexington; nieces, Nancy J. (Glenn) Watts of Frankfort, Beth Ann (Rankin) White of Lexington, and Lisa (Steve) Thomas of Shelbyville; great-nieces, Heather Watts of Frankfort, Miranda Scurlock of Louisville, and Shelly Hughes of Lexington; great-nephew Jeffrey Watts of Frankfort; great-great-nieces, Brittany Dray, Ava Smith, and Elizabeth Stith; and great-great-nephews, Noah Watts and Silas Arwine. Funeral Tuesday at 11am, with visitation Tuesday from 10am-11am, both at Central Christian Church. Burial will follow at Elizaville Cemetery in Elizaville, KY.
