William J. “Bill” Woodward, 91, of Lexington and husband of Charlotte Sturgill Woodward passed away Dec. 17, 2020.  Born to the late James Styles and Julia Elizabeth Powell Woodward on Feb. 12, 1929 in Somerset, KY.  He was a member of Anchor Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir.  He also was a member of the Baron’s Barbershop Quartet.  A Lafayette High School graduate and U.S. Army veteran, he was the former owner of Woodward House of Values, Georgetown.

In addition to his wife of 68 years, survivors include their son, Alan Woodward; brother, Richard Woodward; and sister-in-law, Mary Phillips. 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, James Woodward and Shirley Shields.

The visitation will be on Monday, December 28, 2020 from 11am until 1pm, Milward-Southland.  His mausoleum service with military honors will occur on Monday, December 28th at 1:30pm at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
