Ruth Bailey

Louisville, Kentucky - Ruth Lynn Bailey, age 68, died on August 1, 2021 at Baptist Health Lexington after years of multiple chronic health problems and debilitating chronic pain.
Born in East Lansing Michigan, Ruth graduated from Lafayette High School and the University of Kentucky where she majored in social work. She worked as a social worker in several Lexington hospitals before becoming Director of the Senior Citizens Center. Her professional career was cut short by her multiple health problems.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. H.H. Bailey and Ethyl "Terry" Bailey. She is survived by her sister, Linda Bailey (Vic Green), brother Hudson Lee Bailey (Brenda) and nephew Kevin Bailey. Graveside services will be on August 28 at 9:30 AM in the Lexington Cemetery.
