Mildred Jay Bach (Wallin) - Class Of 1943 VIEW PROFILE

Mildred “Jay” Bach Wallin, age 92, Georgetown, died on Sun., Jan. 22, 2017. Born August 30, 1924 in Lexington to the late Vernon T., Sr. and Rosa Mae Adams Bach, she was a lifelong member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Versailles, DAR, Midway Women’s Club and a charter member of Lafayette High School Reveler’s. Mrs. Wallin was a master gardener, historian and loved traveling. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl F. Wallin; two great grandchildren, Jackson Hyatt and Grayson Lloyd; grandmother, Winnie “Aunt Winnie” Adams; a sister, Elva Allen and a brother, Vernon Bach, Jr.

She is survived by two daughters, Caroline (Ronald) Hutchison, Georgetown and Marilyn (Larry) Hyatt, Lexington; three sons, Richard (Amanda) Wallin, Georgetown, Carl Lynn (Shelly) Wallin, Farmland, IN and Bill Wallin, Oklahoma City, OK; three sisters, Lorena Browning, Lexington, Allene (Bill) Fletcher, Lexington and Linda Bach, Lexington; a brother, David Bach, Lexington; brother in-law, Dr. Bill Allen, Evansville, IN; 7 grandchildren, Amy (Stephen) Guill, Aaron (Amanda) Hutchison, Brad (Sheri) Hyatt, Brian (Lesley) Hyatt, Katelyn (Connor) Lloyd, Emelie and Mathew Wallin; 12 great grandchildren, Ryan and Aiden Hutchison, Coleman Guill, London, Dodge, Maverick, Benjamin, Clay, Lauren and Lindsey Hyatt, Aeribelle and Emberelle Lloyd and many extended family members and special friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Sat. at Milward-Southland. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Fri.at the funeral home. Burial will be in Midway Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Versailles or the Lafayette High School Alumni.
