Carolyn R. Wheeler, 91, a lifelong resident of Lexington, passed away Jan. 19, 2018 after suffering a severe stroke. She was the daughter of the late Bess Sproles Rigdon and James Rigdon. Her loving grandson Dylan Gash, infant son Jackie, and sister Patricia Rigdon preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving children Debra Gash (James) and Larry Wheeler; grandaughters Erin Karlson (Nathan) and Clara Wheeler, her sister Betsy Mahler (Charles) as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends who all held her dear to their hearts. Everyone loved ‘Grammie’. A Life Celebration will be held 2PM Sunday, Feb. 25 at the Signature Club of Lansdowne. Memorial contributions may be made to Bluegrass Hospice or a charity of your choice.  She was a 1945 graduate of Lafayette High School.
