Gae Good Broadus, 79, passed away November 22, 2018 in Charlotte, NC. She was the widow of John Richard Broadus III who passed in April, 2015. She was born on April 21, 1939 in Lexington, KY. She was the daughter of the late John Wolcott Good and Alma Manning Good Cooke. She was an alumnus of Lafayette High School and the University of Kentucky. Mrs. Broadus was a retired school teacher. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Lexington, KY and of Sharon Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC. She was involved in the Suburban Woman’s Club of Lexington- GFWC-KY and Charlotte Woman’s Club- GFWC-NC where she served as the President. She was also the Secretary of Kentucky Shoe Travelers Association since 1975. She is survived by one brother Robert C. Cooke (Belinda) of Lexington, KY, two children, John R. Broadus IV and Nancy G. Broadus of Charlotte, NC; two granddaughters, Shelby H. Henke and Suzanne M. Henke of Charlotte, NC. Services will be 2PM Friday November 30, 2018 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home- Main Street. Burial will follow at the Lexington Cemetery.
