BARNES, Thomas A. “Tom”, 83, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Born in Vincennes, IN on September 26, 1931, he was the son of Anne Lucile and Lowell Barnes. He is preceded in death by his son, Randy. He leaves behind his wife, Dorothy Lee, his son Steven Barnes (Becky), LeeAnn Bernard (Jeff); his grandchildren, Casey, Tori, Taylor and Brandon, two great grandchildren, his sister Carol Ann White (Garey) and his brother Judd Barnes (Patty). He was an active member of Broadway Christian Church. Tom worked for the US Postal Service in Lexington and the UK sports department. He was a graduate of Lafayette High School and served as a radar technical instructor in the US Air Force. Tom was a wonderful husband, father, brother and grandfather. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on East Main Street. Visitation will be 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM immediately preceding the service. Private family graveside services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 500 New Circle Rd NW, Lexington, KY 40511-1846.
