Mr. John Frederick, 83 died peacefully at his home in Lexington, KY on June 4, 2018. John is survived by his brothers, Paul and David Frederick, daughter Bev(Gene) Scales, grandson Chris (Janice) Frederick, and great-grand daughter Brittany Frederick. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Mollie Frederick, wife Patricia Ann Frederick, daughter Sue Ellen Frederick, and his brother James Frederick. John was born on August 31,1934 in Lexington, KY to Jack and Mollie.

He graduated from Lafayette high school in 1954. While attending Lafayette he played center for the Generals when they won the Recreational Bowl, earning the title of state champs. He also earned the nickname of "Mumbles" while playing football for the Generals.

John married Patricia Ann Redmon, after serving four years in the United States Air Force. John worked for Dixie Cup where he retired in 1997, after 35 years of service. John was also a long time member of Broadway Christian Church in Lexington, KY. A short graveside service is scheduled at Hillcrest Cemetery at 2:00 pm, On June 8, 2018. All are welcome to attend and celebrate John's life. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY 40504.
